Hexas Biomass is a biomaterials company focused on the production and use of dedicated crops and agricultural residue to replace wood and petroleum-based materials in multiple applications, including energy, chemicals, pulp & paper, and structural/non-structural applications, among others. We use regenerative farming to produce dedicated crops on marginal land for run-off capture and to remediate the soil so it can be used to produce food again.
We sell raw and pre-processed plant-based material that can be used to produce energy, chemicals, pulp & paper, and structural/non-structural products, and more. It’s easy to work with us because we understand agriculture, materials engineering, supply chains, manufacturing, and logistics.
Our plant-based raw and pre-processed materials are derived from two types of high-yield perennial grasses, our proprietary Xano Grass™ and miscanthus.
Hexas uses and promotes the use of environmentally conscious farming-lifecycle techniques to produce our plant-based materials. To reduce transportation costs to customers’ facilities and minimize our carbon footprint, Hexas grows Xano Grass™ and miscanthus near customers’ production facilities.
