Description

We are three sisters who are renovating our historic family farm to turn it into a learning center. We are growing about an acre of produce from all organically sourced seeds using organic methods, but are not certified organic at this time. Our goals include becoming an model of best sustainable practices and we offer workshops on building your own rain barrel and compost bin. We collect food waste from local restaurants and schools for a 'cradle to cradle' approach to fertilizing our land and farming. We are renovating the old circa 1871 farmhouse and barn to prepare them for interns, farm camps weddings, music and dances in the barn and more. We want to offer internships, but haven't yet prepared a place on site for them to live. We are a work in progress and offer individual farm tours to share our vision. Currently, we offer farm baskets and a few CSA shares, with more offerings to come. Trained in nutrition and horticulture from MSU, we are available to offer talks and workshops in gardening and nutrition.
