Description

We live on a 23 acre traditional family farm that was part of Guyton's Delight dating back to the mid-1800s. We purchased the farm to provide an environment for our children to learn the lessons of responsibility and the value of an honest day's labor. We began growing food for our own consumption for two reasons. We wanted the animals we consumed to be humanely raised without the use of growth hormones and antibiotics. We also like the taste of fresh produce. For anyone who has eaten a tomato fresh from the garden and compared it to one grown in a greenhouse, you can imagine the difference between fresh meat and that found in the grocery store. Friends and neighbors who have eaten the meat liked it so well that we now grow more and offer it for general sale, albeit on a limited basis.
