The Carey Family has been making maple syrup in Michigan since 1870. Since 1968 we have been making syrup at our present location northeast of Big Rapids. Our Sugarbush is 80 acres of rolling land above the Muskegon River Valley. We currently tap over 1,200 trees to produce our superior quality Michigan maple syrup. We still fire our evaporator with wood, while using the best modern equipment to ensure the highest quality product. Our syrup is 100% pure with no preservatives or additives.
