Black Sphinx Dates are grown in one single grove in Phoenix, Arizona, and nowhere else! The grove was established back in the 1930s and 1940s! The trees are now about 40 feet tall. This variety is one of the best in the world, and unlike most varieties now available which came from the middle east, the black sphinx date actually originated from a single seed in Phoenix!
