Description

Adam & Dianna have a love of history, especially Food History. That's why they will only grow Heirloom and Antique varieties. Everyone knows Heirloom Tomatoes have great colors & taste. But what about all the other vegetables? We grow Heirloom Everything!! That means you will get Heirloom Greens, Heirloom Squash, Heirloom Kale, Heirloom Peppers, Heirloom Basil, Heirloom Beans...You get the picture! This also means you are guaranteed NO Hybrids & No GMOs. All Heirloom seeds are open pollinated. We also raise heritage breed chickens - Our secret to making rich, flavorful eggs is simple: lots of space to roam, lots of love, soy-free nutrition, and a few bugs here and there. In our pastures where our girls wander, and everywhere else on our farm too, we never spray the land with harmful pesticides or herbicides. We make our hens lives better, and their eggs make your cakes, custards, and everything in between taste better. We are not certified organic and becoming certified would only increase our overhead costs, and then we would have to increase our prices for our customers. We do believe farming is a sacred stewardship of the land and animals. That's why we never use any pesticides, herbicides and fungicides on our land or plants. We also want to make our products available and affordable to families that want different options than they can find in the grocery stores. We have been teaching food history for over 20 years. We started growing Heirloom produce on small urban plots in the Salt Lake City, Utah in 2010. After building an amazing following at the Salt Lake Farmer's market and a 45 member CSA program. In 2016 we sold the Utah property to move home to Wisconsin to be closer to family. After a long search for the perfect farm we bought a 20 acre farm in Mishicot, WI. We want to inspire you to think outside the traditional box of what you've been lead to believe vegetables and eggs should be and discover the amazing products they can be by exploring our offering of Edible History.
