Description

Blooming Glen Farm CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) was formed in 2006 to offer fresh, nutritious, certified organic produce to our local community. Farmers Tom and Tricia each have over 20 years of experience in small scale organic agriculture. After working and learning on cutting edge farms around the country, Tricia and Tom returned to Bucks County and started Blooming Glen Farm 15 years ago. Our mission is to grow a large variety of high quality vegetables using holistic practices, while educating the community about the importance of where our food comes from and how it is produced. We are excited about reminding people of the true flavors of produce- we love when our CSA members tell us that they haven't tasted a strawberry or tomato that delicious since they were a child snacking straight out of their mom's garden. Through various on farm workshops, cooking demos, solstice and equinox earth blessings and our annual fall harvest festival we are committed to reconnecting our community to the land, to their farmers and to their neighbors, all through a shared love of food. We are located in scenic Upper Bucks County, near the tiny hamlet of Blooming Glen, in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. We will have weekly pickups at the farm from mid May until mid November, for 26 weeks. We also offer a 26 week boxed delivery shares to a few select locations (if you gather together a minimum of 12 families, we will consider delivering to your location). Please see our website for our online registration, farm blog, employment openings, and a detailed description of our certified organic growing practices and the how's and why's behind our CSA. We hope you'll join us for another successful season of growing!
