Diversified family farm. Since 1903, The Adams Farm has been owned and operated by four generations of the Adams family. The Adams currently farm 300 acres in North Walton County. On this property are two fruit orchards, an Asian Pear orchard and an Asian Persimmon Orchard. Although not certified organic, no pesticides are used in the orchards. Approximately 800 mature Asian persimmon trees, Jiro non astringent variety and 300 Hosui Asian Pear trees comprise the orchards. Fruit production yields average 30,000 to 50,000 lbs. annually. Experimental vineyard established 3 years ago to introduce the Southern Jewel cluster grape to the area. Kiwi is also grown producing approximately 500 to 700 lbs. of fruit annually. Red Angus cattle heard size approximately 125, bulls certified. Grass fed no hormones and GAP certified. Perennial Peanut Hay, sold by the 50lb. square bale producing 120 tons per acre per year.
