Description

Anderson Simmentals Farm is a woman owned 20-acre farm located in Farmington, MN. The owner, Kris, has been married to her husband Rick since 2010. Both Kris and Rick are Information Technology Managers for the State of Minnesota and by night and weekends they are local farmers taking loving care of their 140+ livestock animals. Anderson Simmentals Farm carefully selects the livestock breeds they raise to provide families with a quality product. They work with a local farmer in mixing the made-to-order ingredients for the dietary needs of each animal. Anderson Simmentals Farm believes customers should know the history of the food they are putting in their family's mouths. They offer on-the-farm visits for anyone interested in learning about how they raise their animals for their family or anyone looking to learn more about farming. Anderson Simmentals Farm raises beef, pork, goat, lamb, duck, chicken, & eggs (chicken & duck). They believe in bringing back the heritage breeds used to feed families many years ago. At one point, the Chantecler chicken was at the brink of extinction and recently was raised to 'Watch'. Anderson Simmentals Farm will do their part to bring this breed back for families by breeding and raising on their farm.
