COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS & CLASSES: 4 times a year Chef Eileen Burke-Trent does "on demand" holiday meal demonstrations at The Galley Kitchen Store in Chico, CA. This year (freshly returned from Ireland) her first demonstration will be Noon-2PM Saturday March 16 for a "St. Patrick's Day Feast". As a former bartender, her demonstrations always include one or two signature drinks. There is no charge, and always standing room only. To get good seats you must arrive early or call The Galley at 530-343-8820 for seat or table reservations. Additional demonstrations will be in May-prior to Mother's Day, in June-prior to July 4th, and her always fantastical and ghoulishly delicious October event- prior to Halloween. Check with this site, Dragon's Lea Farm FB page, or The Galley for more information and reservations. PRIVATE CHEF & EVENTS: We also offer small celebratory private meals and "guest chef" services for your own events, featuring local and farm grown products, game, and slow food. "FALLIN' DOWN BARN": Through the months of February and March 2019 we will be renovating the interior of our "Shabby, Shabby Chic", but charming and weathered historic California dairy barn. We will have a 22' X 48' (about 1,000 sq.ft.) central space, with simple, rustic, appointments and lighting for your event consideration--very reasonably priced. YOUNG LAYING HENS: Chickens make great pets, and lay healthful eggs kids love to gather and eat! Chicks are hard and expensive to raise, and we excel in working with our lovingly, hand-raised, friendly, Heritage Hens that make great "Backyard Hens" too. They are calmer, lay large, beautiful, and colorful eggs, and are great for backyards and pets, family flocks, and for children. Our chicks are organically fed and fresh-air raised. We also inoculate for Marek's Disease. Young "organic" Heritage Hens $35. Discounts for 4 or more. PASTURED, FREE-RANGE EGGS, EDIBLE FLOWERS AND MORE: We grow pasture fed, free-range eggs in "Martha Stewart" colors, by hand-raised heritage breed hens; organically grown culinary and medicinal herbs; edible flowers; and gift baskets to order from $25-$250 with farm and local products in season. When you visit (by appointment only please) come walk our Celtic, 7-Circuit, Neolithic Meditation Labyrinth! We very much look forward to speaking with you, and to your visit. But please, visit by appointment only. (We have very, very, very big dogs on the premises!)
