Batteese Creek Farm is Environmentally Verified by the Michigan Environmental Assurance Program. Our customers can be confident that we have implemented sound farming practices that minimize the risk of agriculture pollution. Our heritage breed pigs (Tamworth, Gloucestershire Old Spot, Hereford) are pasture raised without the use of antibiotics or hormones. Our pigs are free to live their lives outdoors, grazing in the sunshine, rooting in the dirt and napping under the shade of our maple trees. Batteese Creek pork is processed in a USDA inspected and certified facility located on the campus of Michigan State University. Our local butcher is a family owned company in business since 1997. We offer our customers the option of either a whole or half order.
