Our Story Frisson Farm is a small 20 acre produce and mushroom farm located 1.50 miles off US 195 about halfway between Colfax and Spokane in Whitman County, Washington; owned and operated by our family. This is only our sixth year as farm owners. We are two generations of family. Eight in residence, four adults and three children. For the past five years, we have lived on and farmed the property with the long-term goal of building a self-sustaining family-friendly farming operation. As farm events happen, like our AKC English Springer Spaniels puppies being born or our produce vegetables and mushrooms becoming ready to be harvested; we'll post them on this site. Hopefully, that will generate conversations with those with similar interests. Please go to our Facebook Page for back-and-forth conversations online. We sell our produce and mushroom at local farmers markets. We grow mushrooms year-round and we sell our mushrooms online and ship them. Currently, we only grow one kind of mushrooms: Grey Dove Oyster mushrooms. The USDA considers anyone farming less than 10 years as a beginning farmer. Any feedback is appreciated! . If you want to buy very small quantities of produce from us directly you can; but you need to come to our farm and buy directly from us. Please see this site as to what is ready and call us first.
