Description
Bear Butte Gardens is situated just 5 miles northeast of Sturgis between a great expanse of prairie and the beautiful Black Hills. In the 22 years the Groseks have lived on this land they have respected the native grasses and vegetation by utilizing natural means of weed control and careful grazing management. The gardens, hay land, grazing, poultry, eggs, and alfalfa are USDA certified organic. In 2018 a limited number of certified organic CSA shares will be available. Bear Butte Gardens also sells at local health food stores and partners with a limited number of Sturgis-area restaurants/stores to provide fresh local certified organic produce. Fresh produce may be purchased on-site at Bear Butte Gardens.
