Description

We started out with a small flock of chickens and a small herd of goats, The goat herd is registered Nubians and Toggenburgs, and now Boers. The chickens are brown egg layers who are quite tame for chickens and 1 horse. Because my family eats the products from these animals I am very picky about how they are fed and handled. All the chickens are pastured as weather permits. They also have access to alfalfa and grass hay during the winter. When it is above 30 they can go out ! We have expanded to beef and lamb. The beef are purchased as 1-3 day old calves and raised on goat milk. The breed is British Park White a wonderful dual purpose animal. We started with lamb last year. We purchase orphaned and abandoned lambs that would not normally survive,They are also raised on goat milk and pastured until they are needed. We use absolutely no antibiotics due to fresh air, sunshine ,and good milk. We also use no hormones.
