At Cedar Spur Ranch we raise grass fed beef and lamb. We have also discovered a talent for growing watermelon. On our 80 acres located on the Cedar River, we grow our own hay and only raise enough animals to ensure a quality product. Each year we take orders for beef and lamb and can finish either out with grain if special ordered. Lamb is typically ready in the fall, and beef at the onset of winter. We usually have USDA inspected frozen meat for sale by the package year round. We use organic practices. Our beef is Angus-Maine cross which tender and flavorful. Our lamb is suffolk cross which matures early on grass to ensure good flavor. We grow several heirloom varieties of watermelon which is ready in early September. It is unbelievably delicious!
