Black Mountain Ranch

Black Mountain Ranch is a family owned and operated farm that sells chemical free black walnuts. On the ranch there are years-old black walnut trees that we began harvesting several years ago. Planted by former landowners, who as they aged let the fields go fallow, the trees were sturdy enough to withstand many years of vines, flooding and droughts. When we purchased the property and began clearing it for horse pastures, we discovered the numerous black walnut trees. As we settled in, we began harvesting the nuts, first for us and soon thereafter for sale. We love them! We sell black walnuts in the shell year round and in August/September we sell them in the green hulls for making tinctures. We also have plans for other produce and livestock on the land that we are not using for our horses. We use sustainable, chemical free practices on our farm. Black Mountain Ranch specializes in starting and training horses for trail riding and endurance competitions. We also welcome Wwoofers who are interested in helping us with our farm in exchange for room and board. Please give us a call to learn more about our farm or to purchase black walnuts!
