Give our family the opportunity to grow for your family! Our family sustainably farms 15 acres of fresh produce in Big Lake & Zimmerman, MN. We grow over 100 varieties of fresh Vegetables, Fruits & Herbs so we can offer our members all of the staple produce varieties while also offering the varieties of produce that are not as common. CSA Shares are delivered for 16 weeks, from June 17th- October 4th; Whole Share or Half Share sizes available. We now offer additional products as well! Honey Crisp Apple Shares, Fall Storage Shares and Honey Packages available! Our farm is specialized; over 95% of our harvest goes directly to our CSA Share Members. With this specialization, our members benefit from having input on what varieties we grow, and how much of what varieties we grow. Brown Family Farm is a member of Minnesota Grown, the Sustainable Farming Association, Minnesota Farmer's Union and the Elk River Area Food Co-op. We have attended training for GAP (Good Agricultural Practices), and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) surrounding food safety in growing, post handling and delivery processes. We are donating members to Second Harvest Heartland, CAER (Community Aid Elk River), and the Big Lake Food Shelf. Learn how to eat seasonally with us!
