Description

Our bison herd roams over their hillside pasture located in the Blue Ridge Mouintains of western North Carolina. Their diet consists of grass and hay, at times supplemented with grain-based feed. Minerals are always available to the bison on a free-choice basis. We do not feed then any steroids, antibiotics or hormones. Much of their hay comes from nearby fields where some of our neighbors let us cut hay in exchange for maintaining and taking care of their fields using good agricultural practices. Visitors can buy meat directly from our freezers at the farm. The meat is processed under USDA inspection at a small family owned and operated plant where it is put into see-through cryovac packs. From time to time we have fully tanned bison robes and green hides available also.
