In the spring, summer and fall, the grounds of this "Going Green" operation, are a-buzz with folks enjoying various seasonal outdoor attractions and entertainment such as: orchard tours on tractor and horse-drawn wagons, outdoor concerts, private hayride/bonfire sites, live entertainment, a Bluegrass Festival, pig roasts, farm picnics, pick-your-own sugar snap peas, fruit festivals, children's attractions and field trips and a new mining attraction; where adults and children can pan for gemstones. In addition, with the fall, comes the inviting opportunity for visitors, from around the world, to pick their own apples, pears or pumpkins from the 75-acre farm, on which over 20,000 apple trees grow. With the winter months come the nostalgic horse-drawn sleigh rides through a snow-covered orchard. Enjoying the great outdoors is a unique experience twelve months of the year at Apple Holler. The offerings at Apple Holler do not end with the outdoors. Patrons are reminded of Grandma's welcoming farm house as they enter the old cow barn that has been quaintly remodeled and decorated in a country theme. Contained within this homespun environment are a gift shop, bakery, farm deli, restaurant and a wall of delectable Wisconsin wines. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of mouth-watering, down-home meals; served by friendly staff members. Featured favorites of the restaurant menu, as well as the deli include: apple wood smoked chicken, turkey, prime rib and bacon; which are all smoked on-site, with Apple Holler's own apple wood. For those who enjoy a little entertainment with their meal, Bluegrass Jam Sessions and dinner theatre shows offer a nice change of pace. The first and third Thursday of each month bring Bluegrass musicians and listeners to Apple Holler for an evening of great music. Enjoy laughing or singing along with Apple Holler's Red Barn Theatre performers during breakfast, lunch or dinner theatre shows. Red Barn's talented thespians, engage audiences in a variety of enjoyable performances throughout the year, including: musicals, comedies, murder mysteries and an annual Elvis Presley celebration. The intimate venue gives audience members a very personal and often interactive theatrical experience, which is unparalleled. Located conveniently in Yorkville, Wisconsin, on the west frontage road of Interstate 94; Apple Holler is about one hour north of Chicago, thirty minutes south of Milwaukee and two hours southeast of Madison, Wisconsin. Reservations are required for groups wishing to visit the restaurant, dinner theatre, as well as for hayrides and sleigh rides. The cozy dinner theatre portion of the restaurant can seat up to 90 guests.
