Akin Acres Family Farm

Akin Acres Family Farm strives to produce quality products from naturally raised animals. The farm is run by our family of eight. Our animals are pastured all year and suppemented with good quality hay during the winter. We use natural remedies if at all possible. Our animals are never fed hormones or routine antibiotics. We sell raw cow and goats milk as well as butter, cheese, yogurt and other dairy products. We also sell pastured eggs from dual pupose chickens that range all day. Only coming ino the barn at night and during incliment weather. Natural beef is also sold from our herd of Limousin and LimiX cattle. Our herd of dairy cattle consists of Jerseys, Guernseys, and Milking Shorthorns. We stress the importance of quality milk and lots of cream in whatever breed we are milking. Our family raises Nubian goats for milk. Our family hosts severel field trips / farm tours a year. You are also welcome to contact us anytime to set up a private tour. We let people milk cows and goats, bottle feed baby goats, and many other farm activities.
