Against the Grain Pastures

Against The Grain Pastures is a grass-fed/grass-finishing cattle ranch located 45 minutes east of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. We practice biomimicry, holistic management, and rotational grazing. Our cattle are raised in an environment which mimics the environment in which they evolved. They never encounter antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, hormones, de-wormers, or grain. Along with their daily salad-bar diet, we offer them salt, free-choice minerals, and treat them using natural remedies if needed (i.e. apple cider vinegar, molasses, diatomaceous earth). We like to say that our product is 'Beyond Organic' because we go beyond organic standards in many ways. Also, not being certified organic allows us to offer our beef at a significantly lower price and we want everybody to be able to afford the best beef.
