Description

Good Samaritan Health Center established the Good Samaritan Urban Farm in 2013 to promote access to high quality, nutritious food for patients and for the community. This unique farm in Atlanta, GA offers a portion of its fresh, seasonal produce through a Community Supported Agriculture program, and the other portion of the produce supports food access programs at the clinic. These food access programs include nutrition education, cooking classes, and plans for a food prescription program. Membership in the Good Samaritan Urban Farm CSA not only benefits members who receive local, sustainably grown produce but also benefits the community by supporting food access for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status.
