Nestled in the high mountain shasta valley in the siskiyou mountains of california, the copeland family has been ranching since the early 1870's. We raise all of our goats, lamb and beef on native grasses and alfalfa/grass hay that has been grown right here in the shasta valley. Trademarked "certified american chevon" our products are all grown right here, and processed locally as well. we have produced our own "heritage breed" of goat, to produce a milk fat kid weighing 80 lbs at 5 months. These kids give us bigger steaks, roasts and ribs.
