Description
We are a family farm located in south central Michigan. We raise grassfed Icelandic sheep for their wool and for their meat. If you love lamb, there is nothing better than the gourmet quality meat of our mild flavored Icelandic lamb. We practice low-stress handling, late weaning, and rotational grazing. We feed no grain. Providing a wonderful life for our animals is our highest priority. We are reclaiming our land from over-farmed row cropping and planting the fields into pasture. Our sheep are grazed rotationally to give them the highest quality forage and to be able to protect the pasture from overgrazing. Their grazing improves the land and the pasture gives them the most healthy diet and life possible. Our lamb is priced at $5 per pound, hanging weight, plus the processing fee. Lambs yield approximately 22 to 26 pounds. Yearlings, equally mild flavored, are available at $4 per pound, hanging weight, plus the processing fee. Yearlings yield around 45 pounds.
