Description
We are a very small, urban farm, right in the heart of Austin. We are located about a mile east of the state capital building on land that was first used to grow food over 100 years ago! Currently we offer heirloom produce from September to June. 3 times per year we have Freedom Ranger Chicken. Our biggest annual project is our Heritage Turkeys we offer once per year for Thanksgiving. Our breeds are: Narragansett, Bourbon Red, Royal Palm, and Broad-breasted Bronze. We work the land by hand using a nature based organic method. Our soil fertility comes from a simple organic rotation system utilizing cover crops, poultry manure, and onsite composting. Pest management is achieved with a balance of trapping crops and poultry. No pesticides are needed or used here. Please visit our website and our Twitter for daily updates.
