Big River Farms is a certified organic food hub, operated by The Food Group, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our mission is to build a sustainable food system based on social, economic, and environmental justice through education, training, and partnerships. We aggregate produce grown by beginning farmers who have historically faced discrimination and are enrolled in our land-based farmer education program. As a CSA member, you'll support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & People of Color) and New American (immigrant and refugee) farmers and our food justice mission. Our CSA operates 18 weeks from mid-June through mid-October. We offer fully customizable CSA shares of certified organic vegetables in two sizes: full shares (¾ bushel) and half shares (½ bushel). These veggie shares are both delivered once a week over the 18-week CSA season. Half shares contain 5-7 different produce items each week, suitable for 1-2 people, while full shares contain 10-12 items, suitable for 3-5 people. We also offer two types of certified organic, locally grown fruit shares sourced from two farm partners in nearby Wisconsin and Minnesota. Fruit shares can be purchased separately, or as add-on options during the CSA sign-up process. Subsidized shares for EBT-SNAP customers are also available through our partnership with FairShare CSA Coalition (up to 75% off the total cost). We make CSA deliveries once-a-week on Wednesdays to the drop-site of your choice in and around the Twin Cities Metro, including 14 different locations throughout Minneapolis, Saint Paul, New Hope, White Bear Lake, Stillwater, and Marine on St. Croix. Additional drop-site information, CSA pricing, and online purchase and payment options (such as monthly installments and EBT/SNAP), can be found at:
