Description

Whole Lamb $5/lb hanging weight plus processing. We pride ourselves on raising high quality, great tasting pastured lamb. We have approximately 15 Dorset ewes, and two rams. Lambs are born year round, not just in the spring. We like to raise them to about 10 to 12 months of age, but you may request a younger lamb, but not less than 6 months. Keeping lambs longer on pasture is common practice in countries like New Zeland. This we believe provides tender great tasting meat. For a 10 to 12-month-old lamb, the hanging weight is between 65 and 75 lbs. For humane reasons, as is the growing trend and that of other countries, we do not castrate our male lambs, neither do we dock the tails of our meat lambs. The processing fee is $75. You may decide on the cuts of meat that you would like to have. If you wish to buy the whole carcass and do the butchering yourself or take it to your own butcher you only pay a $25 slaughter fee. The tanned fleece may also be purchased for an additional fee. Half a lamb can also be provided if paired with someone else. You may visit us anytime but contact us first so we might greet and introduce you to the aminals. Our two English Shepard dogs Maisy and Quigley will also be here to say hi!
