Description

Sustainable agriculture, multi-generational farming and farmland preservation have merged at Highland Farm. The Bryant Family offers artisanal cheeses, beef and raw honey on the same land first cultivated 166 years ago by the first generation of Bryants to farm in Wayne County, Pennsylvania. Calkins Creamery produces 14 varieties of raw milk cheese right on the family farm. Milk is transferred directly from the farm's bulk tank into the cheese vat in the creamery. This results in the freshest milk possible for cheesemaking. The farm also offers naturally-raised beef and whey-fed pork. The family farm was established in 1841 and is in the process of introducing additional sustainable practices with the hope of sustaining the farm another 166 years. The farm and creamery are operated by the 5th and 6th generations of Bryants.
