Description

Creative Growers is a small family farm located in the foothills of the coast range outside of Forest Grove, Oregon. Since 2000, David and Lori Hoyle have been growing high quality, organic vegetables, fruits and culinary herbs for discriminating chefs and families throughout the Willamette Valley. Specializing in open pollinated, heirloom and European varieties chosen for their superior flavor, our focus is on bringing our customers the best the seasons have to offer. Last year marked an exciting year in the progression of the farm as we began our first season on a new piece of property. We are grateful for our great community of CSA members, family, restaurant customers and friends that helped make the purchase of the land and the move possible. Starting in 2009 we started offering the same great products we have been providing to some of the most distinguished chefs in Oregon to local families through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. CSA members join the farm by paying up front for their share of produce for 25 weeks from June through November. Crops are carefully harvested fresh from the fields, washed, packed and delivered to neighborhood pick up sites, a true farm to fork experience! Boxes are delivered on Wednesdays to neighborhood pick up sites throughout Portland. Weekly e-mailed newsletters include updates from the farm, information about the crops in the boxes and recipes. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, some fruits and culinary herbs. The weekly shares reflect the abundance of diversity throughout the growing season from cool weather crops in the spring and fall to the fruitful bounty of the height of summer. All of our crops are Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth. Our vegetables are served at some of the finest nationally recognized restaurants in Portland including: Paley's Place, Clark Lewis, Beast, Le Pigeon, Ned Ludd, Ava Genes, 23 Hoyt, Laurelhurst Market, Simpatica, Lucca, Park Kitchen, Toro Bravo, Natural Selection, The Woodsman Tavern, Old Salt, Ataula, Imperial, Urban Farmer, Roman Candle, Noble Rot, Nostrana and The Screen Door, to name a few.
