We started our farm just outside of Harrison, Arkansas in the Gaither Valley in 2007 with the intention of raising livestock naturally for your consumption. Our first concern has been focused on bringing the native grasses back and nurturing the land so that it can sustain our dreams of raising hogs, lambs, beef and chicken naturally. Our Livestock is grown on open grass pasture, never confined. They are given no supplemental hormones or low level maintenance antibiotics. We use multi-species managed intensive grazing techniques to ensure the health, life quality and superiority of our land and livestock. No herbicides, insecticides, or synthetic fertilizers are ever sprayed on our grass and, to our knowledge, have not been used for at least the last 10 years. Our Cattle and Sheep are raised on a diet of grass. Our Pigs and Chickens free range on grass pasture and are fed grain free choice. We chose the brand name Rustica to describe our meat and meat products as the word evokes the simple and pastoral qualities of life. That is what our meats are; simple, low impact, responsible, humane, and simply (we think) the best darn meat you will ever taste. Rustica Beef is Air Cured for a minimum of 14 days for ultimate tenderness. We use cryo-vac freezer packaging which provides better protection for your meat and allows you to see at a glance what is in the package.
