Krista Coleman, the owner and operator of Farmer Over Yonder, has always been passionate about plants and sustainable living. She was born and raised in Hillsborough, New Jersey, where her experiences as a lifelong Girl Scout interested her in people and the environment. As a young adult, Krista obtained her Bachelors Degree in plant science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick and her Masters Degree from Rutgers Graduate School of Education. Upon graduation, Krista worked in plant science research, at organizations including the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) Cooperative Extension in Bridgeton and Rutgers University's IR-4 Project in Princeton. Krista's passion lies in providing nutrition to the local community while improving the environment. This culminated in the creation of Farmer Over Yonder, utilizing science and nature to produce the finest quality crops.
