Bois d'Arc Meat Co. is a diversified livestock farm on land that has been in our family since 1850, with red wattle and Gloucestershire old spot pigs, grass finished cattle, midget white turkeys and laying hens, all exclusively raised on pasture. Our farming philosophy is simple. We seek to create an environment that allows our animals to express their natural behavior as they have evolved to do over thousands of years. Our cows are rotationally grazed on pasture and eat only grass and hay, while our pigs, turkeys and chickens are moved to fresh pasture weekly where they find much of their food, with a non-GMO grain-based feed provided to them twice a day.
