Description
We are a small-scale farm striving to be sustainable and preserve heritage livestock breeds while feeding our community. We raise Bourbon Red Turkeys and Large Black Hogs for breeding stock and filling our community's dinner tables. We recently purchased a new group of Bourbon Red poults from a high-quality breeder in Montana to up our sustainability game and start breeding on our own, rather than rely on hatcheries. We also just started raising pigs and will be bringing in our own gilts to raise as Large Black breeding sows by 2021. A few chickens also run around the farm, along with our beloved hounds and newly added mountain horse, Ringo. Our little farm is still in the growing stages but we are pushing forward as hard as we can while keeping a budget. We are proud members of the Livestock Conservancy to help keep these amazing old breeds alive in every way we can.
