Earth Song Farm

In the garden of Earth Song we work to grow nourishing food for our family and our community. We focus on soil health in order to grow nutrient dense fruits, vegetables, and herbs. We strive for sustainability and simplicity and garden using chemical free methods. We never use any herbicides, insecticides, or chemical fertilizers, and purchase GMO free seed. We follow the rhythms of the earth and moon when working with seeds and plants. At Earth Song Farm we feed the soil with composted manure from our cows along with soil amendments, working toward the proper ratio of minerals. In addition, we feed the plants with the highest quality foliar nutrition. We also utilize crop rotation, companion planting, mulching, row cover for insect control & frost protection, and we are low till. Greenhouses and low tunnels are used for season extension. We grow a variety of fruits & vegetables, berries, herbs, and flowers. Customer favorites include our delectable spinach, heirloom tomatoes, juicy salad turnips, flavorful beets, and our sweet cherry tomatoes. We also offer unique crafts during the holidays. We delight in this simple life and enjoy spending our days in the garden. Earth Song Farm offers a summer and fall CSA, giving members the opportunity to nourish their families with a bountiful harvest of chemical free, nutrient dense produce. 2021 Summer CSA: We offer a 22 week Summer CSA, May through September, with a Tuesday evening distribution in Bloomington, IN. The harvest at Earth Song will reflect where we are in the growing season. During the early weeks of the CSA, members will find crisp greens mix, lettuce, spinach, beets, carrots, turnips, sweet peas, and radishes in their weekly shares. As the weather warms and summer is upon us these crops will be replaced with heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, green beans, lettuce, and summer squash. When the winds of fall sweep across the gardens, members will once again find beets, carrots, turnips, radishes, greens, cabbage, onions, garlic, and winter squash in their shares. This is only a glimpse of the bountiful harvest of Earth Song Farm, members will find more in their share along with a weekly email newsletter full of farm news, recipes, pictures, and Rosie's Ramblings. 2021 Fall CSA: We offer an 11 week Fall CSA, October through mid December, with a Tuesday afternoon distribution in Bloomington, IN. CSA members receive a weekly bag of freshly harvested, nutrient dense, chemical free produce. Also receive a weekly email newsletter full of farm news, recipes, pictures, and Rosie's Ramblings. Throughout the fall season, members will find a delightful diversity of produce in their bags including greens mix, head lettuce, salad turnips, radishes, kale, chard, spinach, beets, carrots, onions, garlic, butternut squash, cabbage, and broccoli.
