Grass Roots Farm is owned and operated by the huband and wife team, Tom Bohan and Kristin Bohan. With their three children they practice holistic and sustainable practices to produce grass fed beef, pastured chicken, turkey and pork. The connections between the sun, soil, plants and livestock are nurtured and cultivated to improve the quality, nutritional value, and diversity of local food production. Our farm strives to improve the soil and the nutitional value of pastures by using rotational grazing to maximize feed value while building soil fertility. The emphasis is on agricultural practices that respect and value the natural rhythms of livestock while sustaining and improving natural resources. Animals on the farm are treated with respect and compassion from birth to death. We feel very committed to connecting the community with agriculture.
