Description
We operate a family farm using organic practices. We recognize the benefits of God-honoring, local, naturally-raised food and would like to pass those benefits along to you and our community. We specialize in pasture-raised chicken and free-range eggs. Our meat chickens start out in a heated brooder house for their first 2-3 weeks. They are then moved to our lush pastures in open-floored coops which are moved daily to provide fresh grass. In addition to the grasses and bugs they have access to, the chickens are fed a locally-milled grain feed free of antibiotics, growth hormones, and animal by-products. At about 8 weeks of age we process the chickens in our backyard using professional equipment and shrink-packaging. This season's first batch of chicken will be available at the end of April 2012. Our laying hens are free-range now, since we have a guard dog to protect them from predators! They freely roam our pastures and are routinely moved to fresh fields to evenly distribute their valuable, natural fertilizer. They are fed a locally-milled grain feed with no animal by-products, antibiotics, or added hormones, in addition to the grass and bugs they find. Contact us or swing by our table at the farmers market to get some fresh, free-range eggs! We hope to sell garden-fresh produce when we have surplus. We use natural and organic practices. We are closed on Sundays.
