Description

Birch Creek Farms is located in scenic western Atoka County, along the Clear Boggy River and Birch Creek. The rich, fertile, sandy loam soils deposited by these two drainages provide the ideal environment for forage production, as well as fruit and vegetable production. We utilized "sustainable agriculture" and organic practices to produce the highest quality, grass-fed beef, lamb, pastured pork, poultry, eggs, and farm fresh produce available. Located near the town of Wapanucka, our farm consists of approximately 700 diverse acres, both leased and owned, that have been in our family for four generations. At Birch Creek Farms, we produce grass-fed lamb, beef, pastured pork, poultry, and eggs through sustainable practices of MiG (Management-intensive Grazing) and multi-species grazing. Birch Creek Farms offers all natural grass-fed and finished lamb from our flock of registered Katahdin Hair Sheep. Our lambs are 100% grass-fed and finished on native and improved pastures, as well as annual plantings of cool season forage such as wheat, ryegrass, and brassicas. We also offer Red Angus beef born and raised at Birch Creek Farms on our lush, productive pastures. Our newest additions for 2013 are pastured free-range eggs, as well as pastured pork and poultry (broiler chickens and Holiday turkeys). At Birch Creek Farms, our goal is to provide you with a wide variety of healthy, farm fresh, high-quality meats and produce while maintaining a sustainable, healthy, productive agroecosystem.
