Description

Carriage House Farm, an Ohio Century Farm, is a historic, family owned, farm established in 1855. Located in the village of North Bend, we are only 25 minutes outside of downtown Cincinnati and one of the few remaining farms in Hamilton County. Our land is now being farmed by the 5th and 6th generations of our family. We supply some of the best locally-owned restaurants in Cincinnati with fresh, non-certified organic produce, grains, fruit, and wild forage (including chickweed, dandelions buds, red bud buds, black locust flowers, spice bush berries, and paw paws). We produce shelf stable products like jams and spices and sell regional vinegar and other products from our sister company, MadHouse Vinegar. We also keep bees and harvest some of the tastiest honey in the region. We keep 30 hives and practice a zero chemical beekeeping method that is very rare today. In addition to supplying chefs, our produce, honey, grains, and spices are available through local retailers, the Local Food Connection, Green BEAN Delivery, Tiny Footprint distribution, Creation Gardens. We maintain an on-farm market that is open Friday through Sunday late February through the end of December (or if you see a car in the lot any other day of the week, stop in and we're glad to help). We couldn't do what we do without our amazing CSA members--Standard and Workshare. We're offering 55 shares in 2020.
