Description
On our small farm we raise a diverse variety of fruit, herbs, cut flowers and produce along with dairy goats, laying and meat chickens, lambs and feeder pigs. We practice biodynamic principles and work diligently to produce quality products in a sustainable and practical way to maintain the beauty and health of this land, the animals under our care, our customers and ourselves. Most of our produce and fruit is sold through a CSA. Our CSA runs from Late March until Thanksgiving, if you are interested in our CSA we have some shares available for 2013. This year we've also added a winter CSA that runs through the winter with bi-weekly pickups. From our own produce and fruit we also make a wide variety of pickles, relishes, jellies, jams, herb vinegars and other traditional canned and processed products including crock style sauerkraut . This is available at our farm store and at the Olde Lafayette Village Farmer's Market, the Sussex County Farmer's Market and the Hopatcong Farmer's Market. We have a herd of registered Alpine dairy goats and breeding stock is available. From their milk we make goat milk soap. We have developed a strong local following. The popularity of this soap is amazing, we have tripled our sales over the years and it's now being sold in several local stores and we even ship it to other countries. You may purchase our soap at our website, at our farm or at the farmer's market. Brown and white eggs from our pastured hens are available year round at the farm store and at the market. Pastured roasting chickens are available at the farm from late June until we sell out. Pork and lamb are available custom butchered by the half and must be reserved.
