We are a small farm 10 miles south of Wilmington, Ohio that specializes in pasturing animals that produce superior meat. We ask for a $100 deposit for a half and $200 for a whole. We usually process our feeders in the fall when they are 30 months of age. The hanging weight for a whole feeder is usually between 450 - 600 lbs. Heifers and steers generally very in size, you may specify if you would like a smaller or larger animal. You will be contacted about how you would like your meat cut and packaged. PORK - sold by the half or whole at $4.00/lb based on hanging weight. We ask for a $75 deposit for a half and $150 for a whole. Our pigs are processed in the fall after the hardwood nuts have fallen. The hanging weight for a whole feeder is usually between 150 and 250 lbs. You will be contacted about how you would like your meat cut and packaged. Bacon and ham is available at an additional cost of $5 per item (e.g. $5 for one ham.) CHICKEN - sold whole at $2.90/lb dressed weight; about 4 pounds. We ask for a $2 deposit per bird. Our meat birds are processed in batches throughout the green season. You will be contacted when the butcher dates have been finalized.
