Description
Our family farm grows delicious local vegetables in the uplands of Madison County, NY. Our focus is on flavor, helping our customers learn to enjoy the veggies, and working to build up our land and local economy. We are certified organic. We offer our products at the Cazenovia Farmers Market year-round and through CSA (community supported agriculture) drop-off sites around Syracuse, Fayetteville, Manlius, Liverpool and at the farm. Great Things about a Hartwood Farm CSA and Vegetables: 1. 8 to 12 amazing vegetables each week in a large share--a bushel box brimming each week with a mix of favorite crops and just enough adventurous veggies to be fun (but not overwhelming)! Large shares are just $36/week (or $660 a year). 2. 5 to 7 delicious vegetables each week in a small share--a half bushel box that's perfect for smaller households or to try out the CSA! Small shares are just $24.80/week (or $445 a year)--and yes, we have flexible payment plans for all share sizes! 3. 18 weeks of the freshest tasting vegetables you can imagine during the best part of the CNY growing season--and don't worry, there's flexible share hold options so you can relax and enjoy any vacations, and also some fall and winter shares! 4. Free access to members-only U-Pick flower garden--a great reason to visit your farm, pick some flowers, and enjoy walking the fields and pond! 5. Guidance, ideas, recipes, and now videos to help you learn how to use the vegetables to brighten up your meals! We provide weekly veggie support to help you make the most of the shares! 6. Produce grown in a way you can trust--we are certified organic. 7. Local vegetables that are harvested at their seasonal peak and brought to you right away--they are super fresh and taste amazing! We love hearing how kids that didn't like vegetables before have started eating them once they tried fresh local ones! 8. Your CSA box helps support local farms and the local environment--your support helps us build a rich, healthy environment on the farm (come out and explore the biodiversity of our fields) and support other parts of the local economy through buying and hiring local. 9. Know your farmers--we love CSA because it gives us the chance to know who is eating the fruits of our labor, and we want you to stop by and visit and let us know what you like (or don't) about the veggies! 10. Try fun new things! We pack the boxes each week with the veggie mainstays--things like lettuce, carrots, and tomatoes that we all know (and most of us love), but we also throw in some fun new things for you to try. Don't worry, there's a swap box each week so you can trade out any vegetable that makes you say ick!
