After retirement from engineering in the commercial refrigeration industry, I knew what my next career would farming. I wanted to supply a growing need and desire for better produce for my personal use as well as that of the community. We began researching for the best heritage seeds and carefully starting them in the greenhouse. Our first year was a complete success. This year, we are growing varieties of lettuces, tomatoes, cabbage, onions, potatoes, beans and peas, hot and sweet peppers.. Celery has been a challange, but we've enjoyed excellent results. Our strawberries are the best ever. We enjoy planting exotic plants like luffa. Although our farm isn't as large as some, we are welcoming internships for those who want to get down and dirty.
