Hoof Beet Farm is an intensively managed horse-powered farm focused on building sustainability through diversity. I sell to directly to the people that eat what I grow, and I encourage all of my customers to get to know their farmer. I sell eggs from a flock of free-range hens spring through fall. Eggs are available for pick up at the farm by appointment outside of market season. I also sell lean, frozen pasture-raised chicken on a pre-order basis through the summer and fall. If there is enough interest, I may raise pastured Thanksgiving turkeys, as well. I also offer several vegetable CSA share options with a convenient farmer's market pick up Johnston, as well as Sunday afternoons at the farm. The vegetables I grow are a mix of new hybrids and heirloom favorites to maximize flavor, quality, quantity, variety, and value in your CSA bag.
