The LittleFarmStand represents "DC Area" farming at its best. We are Washington DC's 1st Farm-Street Vendor. Our first location at 11th & K street NW sold its first peach in July 2010. We are local Loundon County, Virginia farmers. We farm 25 acres in Middleburg VA. We tend to a small orchard and we also grow different specialty varieties of vegetables. We grow a large variety of specialty heirloom tomatoes and other heirloom veggies on our land. We have a herd of 100% grass fed Black & Red Angus beef cattle that we breed. Our breeding practices are VERY strict, our cattle only eat fresh grass and drink clean water from our pond. We also raise chickens, to offer our customers fresh farm eggs. We operate a very flexible and extremely popular CSA program in the Washington DC area.We also offer wholesale Local Fruits and Veggies to Restaurants and Chefs. We have become very popular for our local seasonal baked good . We also offer Local Seasonal soups all made with our seasonal fruits and veggies. We do not spend any money on advertisement of any kind and have chosen to grow organically by word of mouth which has worked quite well. We work with the weather and do not use any harmful pesticides on our land. We also do not use any GMO seeds or co-op with any farmers who do.
