Description

In 2010, our family followed Boeing to the Charleston area and we purchased a historic farm house and 20 acres. We were offered 3 goats one year as Christmas gifts. We accepted and had no idea that 5 months later those 3 goats would each have twins. We discovered the gorgeous nature of FRESH organic goat's milk and have begun making artisan cheeses. We are excited to continue in business as a family and grow our endeavor to bring more products to the public and share our way of life and philosophies of kindness. Our historic farm has many gems that came with it. A very historic site, the original Harleyville country store, built in 1826 and a farm house over 150 years old. We have over 50 HUGE pecan trees, Jesuit Pear trees as well as a few Walnuts and Chestnuts trees. We offer the "chocolate" egg or the gourmet French Copper Maran eggs, known for their deep brown color and rich flavor. We also work diligently to preserve and renew our farms sustainability through solar power as well as a wild bird revival program with the Audubon Center (Francis Bielder Forest). We have hatched and released over 50 bobwhite quail and continue to do so. We offer farm tours, milking demonstrations, goat snuggling, birthday parties, weddings, cheese classes, wine and cheese tasting. Our sales include RAW milk, soft and aged (hard cheese), butter and eggs. We have special events such as fall festival, ghost walk in October and hay rides. Every summer we accept a select number of students for a agri-business internship. Students are required to select a product, write a full business plan, marketing plan and actually work to bring that product to the market. 6 or 8 week program.. Plans for 2021, transition to Organic and open a Non-Profit section for our Goat and Donkey sanctuary.
